Today I was searching through my photos of our 2010 trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia for a specific location and the play of the warm Adriatic light on the stone walls and terracotta roofs of the city reminded me how nice a trip it was. Not only did wandering the back streets give us the opportunity to see how people lived in this ancient town, but we also escaped the hordes of tourists who seemed to be stuck on the main street.
